Job summary

Noland Health Services in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise daily nursing activities and provide direct care in accordance with each resident's plan of care and facility policies. The role oversees LPNs, MACs and CNAs and ensures proper documentation and physician communication.

Responsibilities include rounds with physicians, reviewing orders, resident/family meetings, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama is required.
• 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units during the shift.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications, and other care activities per plan.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing leadership about resident status and admissions.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatments as indicated.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure execution.
• Meet with residents or families as necessary and report issues to the Supervisor.
• Complete medication pass audits and report discrepancies to Nursing leadership.
• Complete forms and reports as required.
• Coordinate resident activities with staff and inform of new admissions.
• Report discrepancies or issues regarding resident care to Nursing leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
