Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to lead clinical operations on a designated shift. Must have at least 1 year in long-term care or a similar setting and at least 1 year supervising a team of 10 or more staff.

BSN preferred and active RN licensure in the state. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure safe, 24/7 nursing care, mentor staff, participate in recruitment, onboarding, and staffing decisions, and promote a compliant,

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
• Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, along with coordination and communication with other departments.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care with an emphasis on limiting use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.
