Job description

Corewell Health Hospice & Palliative Care

When someone or a family member reaches a point where they no longer desire or cannot pursue curative treatment, hospice care provides support during this stage. Our goal is to help and support patients, making each day meaningful during their remaining time.

Scope of Work

The role involves managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial aspects of the nursing service. Some service lines may require on-call availability to support nursing services. The position includes developing policies, procedures, and processes in collaboration with unit leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. Key responsibilities include setting department goals, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, maintaining standards of care, policy interpretation, human resource development, performance improvement, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The role may also involve participating in on-call duties and assuming the House Supervisor role as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
  • 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in hospice, end-of-life care, ICU, or ED (preferred)
  • Prior leadership experience (preferred)
  • Michigan RN license (required)

Location: SITE - Hospice & Palliative Care Royalton, 4025 Health Park Lane, St Joseph

Department: Nursing - Hospice Corporate - CHS

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Day shift, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, with on-call weekends
