Works under the general supervision of the Administrative Director or Clinical Manager of the assigned area and is responsible for organizing the plan of care for patients, providing education, and eliminating potential barriers to treatment. This includes all aspects of pre- and post-visit activities, such as scheduling, insurance precertification, diagnostic testing coordination, and follow-up with referring physicians. Key Responsibilities
  • Function as the primary manager for staff nurses within outpatient divisions.
  • Coordinate medical care with staff RNs within the service line.
  • Evaluate, plan, develop, and implement MLH operations and goals, while developing policies, procedures, and projects for the assigned program, clinic, or service.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care through professional role implementation. Communicate effectively to ensure optimal patient care and foster a professional environment.
  • Ensure continuity of care with multidisciplinary team members.
Education and Training Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN)
Work Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years of clinical healthcare experience (acute or hospital)
  • Pediatric experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse license in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in computer operations, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Understanding of research principles and scientific methods
Supervision

Supervises all clinical and support staff assigned to the clinic.

Physical Demands
  • Activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • Light work exerting up to 25 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. frequently.
  • Requires close visual acuity for data analysis, reading, and computer work.
  • Work environment is generally similar to an office setting.
