Job summary

The Margaret E. Moul Home is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor/Floor Nurse for 1st or 3rd shift. You will provide direct patient care while leading and mentoring nursing staff, coordinating resident services, and ensuring high clinical standards in a specialized residential setting.

Join a dedicated team focused on dignity, safety, and independence for residents with cerebral palsy and neuromuscular conditions. On-site, full-time role with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Experience as charge nurse or supervisor preferred.
• Experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Experience with cerebral palsy or neuromuscular conditions is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical supervision during the assigned shift.
• Supervise, guide, and support LPNs and direct-care staff.
• Assess residents’ health conditions, monitor changes, and coordinate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies.
• Coordinate resident care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, pharmacy personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions, medical emergencies, and incidents.
• Complete nursing assessments, admissions, transfers, discharges, and required clinical documentation.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Follow Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements, infection prevention protocols, and facility policies.
• Assist with shift assignments, staffing coordination, and clinical problem‑solving.
• Provide education, mentoring, and guidance to nursing and direct‑care staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life.
