Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and to supervise nursing assistants, ensuring quality care in a compliant, professional environment. Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• CPR certification within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with customers and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise nursing assistants and day-to-day activities.
• Ensure care aligns with federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Plan and direct care plans and assessments.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and reports.
• Coordinate with physicians and families as needed.
• Attend meetings and participate in ongoing education.
• Promote a warm, safe, and professional care environment.
