Kindred Hospital Dallas Central and Acute Rehabilitation Unit seeks a Nursing Supervisor to lead a hospital-based LTACH and ARU team in Dallas, TX. You will oversee nursing staff, coordinate care, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols to support patient recovery.

The role requires a state RN license, BLS certification, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience in an acute care setting. You will partner with physicians and care teams to maintain high-quality patient outcomes.

Formación

• Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Active state RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
• 1–2 years supervisory/leadership experience.

Description

Kindred Hospital Dallas Central and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) provide specialized care for patients with complex medical needs. Our long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) offers advanced, hospital-level treatment for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended stays. In addition, our Acute Rehabilitation Unit is dedicated to helping patients recover from the effects of acute injuries, impairments, or illnesses. With a focus on personalized care, both the LTACH and ARU collaborate with your physician to provide 24/7 clinical care, ensuring continuous support on your path to recovery.

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Essential Functions

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Valid BLS certification

Experience

• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
