Job summary

Kindred Hospital Denver and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing staff, assess patient needs, and organize unit training. The role involves planning, guidance, and participation in educational programs to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating staff, developing protocols, documenting care, and managing supplies. RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of hospital nursing plus supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• BLS certification required.

Kindred Hospital Denver and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is an all-private room 68-bed hospital located on one of Denver’s important medical campuses, just east of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. With 68 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 13-bed ARU is designed for people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment or illness and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Our care has touched individuals from the Front Range, the western slopes of Colorado, and throughout the country.

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Essential Functions

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately.
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Pay Range: $45.00-$67.50/hr.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Valid BLS certification.

Experience

• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
• 1 to 2 years supervisory/leadership experience.
