Job summary
Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Hopewell in Hopewell Junction, NY, seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations on the 4 pm – 12 am shift. You'll oversee residents' care, support staff, and ensure regulatory compliance in a residency-focused environment.
Applicants should have an NY RN license, an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), and 1 year of geriatric/rehab experience (3+ years preferred).
Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
- NYS RN license required.
- 1 year RN geriatric/rehab experience; 3+ years preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure care plans are implemented and updated.
- Monitor residents and communicate changes to providers/families.
- Oversee medication administration and nursing services.
- Address concerns and promote a positive care experience.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and overtime.
- Support staff education and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with policies, infection control, and resident rights.
- Respond to emergencies and safety issues.
- Participate in QAPI initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
