Job summary

Tanner Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform nursing functions and supervise RNs, LPNs, and other assistive personnel according to the state nurse practice act. You will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate effectiveness of care provided.

The role emphasizes care across the lifespan, patient assessment planning, and collaboration with the health care team. Strong knowledge of ACLS/NRP/PALS and compliance with licensure requirements is required.

Qualifications

• Georgia RN license or Multistate Nursing License.
• CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• CARE ACROSS THE LIFESPAN: Use knowledge of physiologic norms and developmental level to administer medications and treatments, educate families, and adapt care for diverse populations.
• PATIENT ASSESSMENT PLANNING CARE: Assess and plan patient care, set goals, select interventions, and document in the EHR; coordinate with physicians and health care team.
• PATIENT INTERVENTION AND EVALUATION: Administer medications and treatments, educate patients and families, coordinate with departments, and monitor changes in patient condition.
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, pursue required continuing education.
• TEAM MEMBER: Serve as resource to students and staff, ensure timely attendance, assist in supplies and equipment management.
