Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience
• ACLS within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, Float Pool (Critical Care and Maternity), SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.
• NRP within 6 months of hire into Nursery and L&D.
• PALS within one year of hire in PACU
• BLS within 30 days

Responsibilities

• PATIENT ASSESSMENT PLANNING CARE: Assess and plan patient care considering biophysical, psychosocial, and spiritual patient care needs.
• PATIENT INTERVENTION AND EVALUATION: Provide safe and effective nursing care; administer medications and educate patient and family.
• TEAM MEMBER: Act as a resource to students, new employees and other personnel; participate in mandatory in-services.
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Maintain knowledge of state, federal, and regulatory rules; participate in annual hospital wide and nursing CE.
• CARE ACROSS THE LIFESPAN: Apply knowledge to care for ages and populations served.
• COMPLIANCE STATEMENT: Adhere to ethics and compliance programs; report variances.
