Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services LLC is seeking a registered nurse supervisor to oversee resident care in our facilities. You will supervise LPNs, LVNs and CNAs, implement physicians' orders, and coordinate with therapy and other departments to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires strong leadership, effective communication with residents and families, and adherence to policy and state regulations. You will use the nursing process to assess needs, document care, and respond to emergencies, while

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with a valid state license.
• Skilled in directing, motivating and training staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff across levels.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes related to nursing care.
• Interview applicants and participate in hires; counsel as permitted by law.
• Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans; assign staff with the right capabilities.
• Implement physicians' orders; administer medications and start IVs per policy and regulations.
• Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and safe.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Report and record observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Assist or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
