Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within a unit. This role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a minimum of three years of clinical experience, including leadership responsibilities. The Clinical Supervisor will also ensure quality patient care and manage nursing operations in the absence of higher management.

The ideal candidate must hold a Georgia RN license and certifications such as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Additional credentials in life support are preferred. Work hours are from 1900 to 0730 on a rotating weekend basis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years experience in a clinical area, one year in specialty.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia or Multistate license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of a unit.
• Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

1900-0730
