Job summary

Boca Pointe Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to assist the Director of Nursing, organizing and coordinating daily nursing department functions.

The role requires a nursing degree, minimum two years in long-term care/restorative/geriatric settings, at least one year in a nursing supervisor role, CPR certification, and valid licensure with no disciplinary action.

Qualifications

• Leadership role in nursing or long-term care settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate nursing services and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies and coordinates with staff.
• Assists in developing written assessments of residents’ nursing needs.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor:

The Registered Nurse ( RN) Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing; plans, develops, organizes, and coordinates day-to-day functions of the nursing department.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.

• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.

• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.

• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.

• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.

• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.

• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Education and Experience:

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings as an

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting

• Current CPR Certification.

• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against a professional license.
