Job summary

Sea Breeze Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for a Full Time 3pm-11pm shift. You will support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily Nursing Department functions, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe environment.

You will supervise nursing staff, assess residents on admission and as conditions change, and participate in surveys and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed in.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care centers.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care
• Assess residents/clients upon admission and periodically as conditions change
• Perform rounds to evaluate patient condition
• Provide or assist with the delivery of direct patient care when indicated
• Obtain and implement Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditions
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors
• Provide clinical assessment to MD/NPs on call for quality outcomes delivered to patients
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the clinical competencies and ongoing educational/orientation needs of the staff
• Participate in Facility surveys (inspections)
• Participate in developing, implementing, and periodically updating the resident's written discharge plan
• Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained
