Responsibilities include managing daily nursing operations, staffing coordination, and ensuring high-quality resident care. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Compassion and commitment to providing quality care to seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the nursing department as assigned.
• Oversee nursing operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Review staffing at shift changes and make adjustments to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Complete resident care rounds and monitor the quality of care being provided.
• Support nursing staff with clinical questions, concerns and resident care needs.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure changes are appropriately communicated and addressed.
• Promote compliance with facility policies, nursing standards and applicable regulations.
• Provide direction and support to LPNs and CNAs.
• Promote a collaborative and professional nursing environment.
