Job summary

WeCare Centers in Herkimer, NY is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead a Long-Term Care unit. This first-shift supervisory role combines hands-on nursing with administrative oversight to support resident outcomes and quality care.

You will mentor licensed and non-licensed staff, ensure regulatory compliance, participate in care planning, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where practice occurs (NY).
• Experience in SNF/LTC settings or as a Charge Nurse transitioning to management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical care on an assigned unit.
• Mentor licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations.

This leadership opportunity is ideal for an RN with SNF or LTC experience—or a Charge Nurse ready to step into a management role—who is passionate about quality care, team leadership, and resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
• Strong clinical leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Experience with dementia care, care planning, and staff supervision preferred
