Job summary

STERLING HEALTHCARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER in Media, PA is hiring an Every Weekend RN Supervisor. This role requires graduation from an approved school for practical or vocational nursing and current RN licensure, CPR certification, and supervisory experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities include accurate information transfer, medication reconciliation, patient assessments, mentoring staff, and supporting DON and unit managers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing and must be currently licensed as an RN.
• CPR Certification.
• Supervisory experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.

• Conveys accurate information in a supportive and courteous manner to unit nursing staff.
• Seeks supervision and direction from physician.
• Completion of nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.
• Conducts orientation of new employees to unit policies and procedures.
• Assist medical doctor as needed.
• Attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws, confidentiality, state licensing regulations, CPR, AED and First Aid.
• Oversight and serve as a resource to direct care staff.
• Support to the DON and Unit Managers with staffing and activities as assigned.
• Direct patient care when necessary and/or assigned.

Shift Type: Every Other Weekend

Hours: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm

Pay Rate: $50/hour

As the Every Weekend RN Supervisor the expectations would be:
