Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an experienced RN Supervisor for our Long Term Care unit in Kane, PA. This night-shift role supervises nursing services and directs nursing assistants and LPNs, ensuring quality resident care.

You will administer meds, update care plans, monitor resident responses, and coordinate with physicians and families. The role requires PA RN license, BLS, and COVID-19 vaccination, with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing services to direct care in accordance with regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day nursing activities by CNAs and LPNs; administer and record medications and treatments.
• Update care plans to reflect resident condition; notify RN Supervisor of significant changes.
• Communicate with residents' families and department heads; coordinate transfers.
• Assist physicians with rounds, examinations and treatments; document in EHR.
• Ensure accurate incident reporting, monitoring weights and vital signs, and maintain a safe environment.

Description:Supervises nursing services to direct nursing care in accordance with good nursing practice and applicable regulations.Supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants and LPNs.Administers and records medication and treatments as ordered, and monitors resident responses.Accurately transcribes physician's orders.Completes monthly summaries as scheduled.Updates the care plan to reflect the resident’s current condition and notifies the RN Supervisor of significant changes.Communicates resident transfers to immediate family and department heads effectively.Reviews care plans with nursing assistants and directs team implementation.Assists physicians with rounds, examinations, and treatments as needed.Collects laboratory specimens and documents in the electronic health record.Supervises and assists with postmortem procedures as needed.Encourages resident participation in scheduled activities.Completes incident reports accurately and documents weights and vital signs.Cleans and stocks treatment trays daily.Maintains an accurate inventory of resident belongings.Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment and reports potential safety hazards.Adjusts staffing assignments as needed to ensure quality resident care.Conducts team conferences as necessary and assures staff familiarity with policy changes.Monitors documentation for compliance and provides direct care for residents as needed.Attends in-services and departmental meetings as required.Assists in the orientation of new nursing staff.Performs additional duties as directed by supervisory personnel.Maintains work area in clean, orderly condition.Submits maintenance requests and performs housekeeping assignments as scheduled.Attends care plan conferences if requested.
