Job summary

Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor to join our care team in Elizabeth City, NC. This is an every weekend or every other weekend position, with responsibilities for planning, coordinating, and supervising nursing care and health education for residents.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will oversee unit operations, supervise RNs and CNAs, interface with physicians, and contribute to QA reporting and clinical guidance for staff.

Qualifications

• Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1–3 years of RN experience, preferably in long term care.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to long-term care.
• Nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Applicant must have unrestricted Registered Nurse license.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN Weekend Supervisor will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

The RN Weekend will:

• Will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff
• Will provide supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians
• Will provide QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed
• Will provide care for our most clinically acute patients and residents.Requirements:
• Current license by theNorth CarolinaBoard of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one to three years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
