The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to clinical protocols. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, assist physicians, educate families, and ensure safety and infection control standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required with state licensure.
• RN licensure (state or compact) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency level.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post‑discharge care.
• Maintains infection control standards and safety protocols.
• Documents care accurately in the medical record.
