Job summary

Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shifts (7am-7pm). The RN will deliver patient-centered cardiac care, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, with additional incentives including up to $20K in student loan contribution, plus medical, vision, dental, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Cardiac/nursing care experience preferred.
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered RN care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with physicians and care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document accurately.
• Operate telemetry/EKG monitoring and respond to abnormal findings.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
