Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Stepdown unit at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Multiple shifts available (3 12-hour shifts). New expanding unit with sign-on bonus and student loan contributions for full-time roles.

The RN will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the care team.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code activities.
