Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia with applicable requirements
• 4 years RN experience with 2 years in a clinical specialty
• 2 years charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
• BSN degree required
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Utilizes resources to complete assignments within allocated time period.
• Adapts to changes in volume/acuity demands and remains calm in crisis situations.
• Maintains attendance and scheduling policies and on-call processes.
• Supports staffing decisions and staffing optimization on the unit.
• Promotes patient safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Engages in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Provides leadership and education to staff as needed.
