Job summary

Royal-Health-Group in Wayland, MA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead clinical operations across long-term care, sub-acute and memory care. You will mentor staff, supervise medications, and ensure high-quality resident-centered care in a collaborative environment.

The ADON will coordinate with physicians, families and multidisciplinary teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical outcomes consistent with resident needs.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of nursing leadership in long-term care.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
  • Experience with geriatric psychiatric population.
  • Strong clinical skills and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care to achieve clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Provides professional guidance and supervision to non-professional staff.
  • Ensures patient care assignments align with staff competencies and needs of residents.
  • Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; follows up on work results.
  • Establishes a positive work environment by providing support to patients and families.
  • Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
  • Ensures complete and prompt reporting to the Director of Nursing.
  • Communicates significant changes in residents' conditions to physicians and families.
  • Assists with case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educates residents and families regarding health conditions and discharge.
  • Maintains accurate resident records in compliance with HIPAA.
