Job summary

Hammer Residences is seeking a Staff Development Nurse (RN) to promote health and wellbeing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across group homes and apartments. The nurse trains staff on medical procedures, documentation, and incident reporting while supporting the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes nursing assessments, wellness education, and health and safety protocols, ensuring HIPAA/PHI compliance and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English.
• Proven ability to manage health services for people with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have valid MN nursing license and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health status and medication administration needs.
• Provide health education and training to staff and individuals served.
• Ensure HIPAA/PHI compliance and implement health service policies.
