Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced RN to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Keyser Healthcare Center. The role focuses on coordinating Nurse Aide training, developing teaching materials, and maintaining documentation to ensure compliance and excellence in LTC staff education.

The coordinator will lead inservicing, STNA training hours, orientation programs, and skills testing, while actively participating in QI meetings to improve training outcomes and resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care is desirable.
• Certificate to Train The Trainer for STNA training is required/maintained.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNAs.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
