Job summary
Ciena Healthcare is seeking an RN Staff Development Coordinator to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate orientation, staff education and development programs to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
The role supports quality outcomes, promotes evidence-based practice, and partners with leadership to foster a safety-conscious, learning-focused culture. We offer a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits in Michigan and Ohio.
Qualifications
- RN with management or supervisory experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
- Prior experience in staff development, education, or leadership preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state requirements, and long-term care standards.
Responsibilities
- Assesses the competencies and training of nursing care provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified/State Tested Nursing Assistants.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Supervises, interviews, hires, trains LPNs and Certified/State Tested Nursing Assistants, assigns work, prepares schedules, and assures resident safety.
