Job summary

Liberty Health is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) at The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge in Blowing Rock, NC. This role coordinates the facility's staff development program, acts as the personnel health nurse, and leads orientation and ongoing training for all staff.

The candidate will conduct training on bloodborne pathogens and hazard communication, teach the Nurse Aide Training Program as needed, and schedule in-house in-service sessions while supporting the Nursing Management

Qualifications

• RN license from NC Board of Nursing.
• Five years of nursing experience in long-term care or nursing education.
• CPR certified yearly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the staff development program for the facility.
• Act as personnel health nurse for the facility.
• Provide orientation for all employees per policy.
• Conduct bloodborne pathogens and hazard training updates.
• Serve as primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program as approved by DFS.
• Post and coordinate workshops and in-service training for staff.
• Direct in-house in-service for all staff.
• Assist Nursing Management in reviewing incident reports.
• Serve as charge nurse or supervisor in emergencies.
