Job summary

Regency at Bluff's Park in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an RN Staff Development Coordinator to oversee orientation, staff education, and development programs ensuring high-quality resident care in line with federal and state regulations.

The role combines staff development with infection prevention, partnering with leadership to foster safety, learning, and accountability within a nursing facility.

Qualifications

• A registered nurse with management or supervision experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Prior experience in staff development, education, or leadership preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state requirements, and long-term care standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing competencies and training for RNs, LPNs, and STNAs.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws.
• Recruit, hire, and train LPNs and STNAs; plan and direct work assignments.
• Prepare timekeeping and performance evaluations; monitor probationary staff.
• Discipline staff as needed and ensure proper supervision across units.
• Monitor staff performance and coordinate rotation to maintain resident safety.
