Job summary

Logan Health Behavioral Health in Kalispell, MT seeks a Staff Development Educator (RN) to educate and support RNs and Mental Health Technicians. You will develop, deliver, and evaluate learning programs promoting evidence-based practice and high-quality behavioral health care.

The role emphasizes coordinating clinical programs, leading training initiatives, and maintaining documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license to practice in Montana.
• BSN preferred. Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric, or behavioral health settings is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years teaching/leadership experience preferred.
• Certification in related specialty and/or Nursing Professional Development preferred.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire or before independent patient care.
• Certification in nationally recognized skills courses within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities for the assigned clinical programs and support staff development.
• Assess learning needs, plan strategies, and foster critical thinking.
• Develop and teach courses, tools, and resources to meet identified needs.
• Evaluate outcomes and program effectiveness against desired results.
• Act as a catalyst for change and assist with learning integration.
• Maintain documentation and comply with policy and regulatory expectations.
