Job summary

Richmond Post Acute is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join as a Staff Development Coordinator in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on educating and training staff, evaluating nursing care, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include liaising with education resources, QA program collaboration with the DON/ADON, probationary care evaluation, staff supervision and orientation, and developing educational programs to raise resident care and staff competency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Virginia
• Experience as RN Staff Development/Educator or similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Function as a liaison between the facility and community education resources to provide education and training to staff
• Collaborate with the DON/ADON to educate related to QA data conversion and evaluation for the QA program
• Analyze and evaluate nursing care of employees during the probationary period to ensure standards compliance
• Supervise, train, and orient all staff members
• Develop and implement educational programs to improve resident care and staff competency
