Job summary

Liberty Health Roxboro seeks a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to oversee the staff education program at our Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. The role includes orientation, ongoing in-services, and coordination of Nurse Aide Training, under the direction of Nursing Leadership.

The successful candidate will have NC RN licensure, 5+ years in long-term care, CPR certification, and proven ability to lead staff development and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license in NC (required).
• Minimum of five years nursing experience in long-term care or nursing education.
• CPR certification updated yearly.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate orientation, education, and in-services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the staff development program for the Facility.
• Acts as personnel health nurse for Facility.
• Provides orientation for all employees following policy.
• Conducts blood borne pathogens training and updates staff.
• Conducts hazard communication training and updates yearly.
• Instructs Nurse Aide Training Program as approved.
• Posts and coordinates in-house in-service for staff.
• Assists Nursing Management in reviewing incident reports.
• Acts as charge nurse or supervisor during nursing emergencies.
