Job summary

Mercy Hospital Saint Louis is seeking compassionate registered nurses to join our Float Pool. These full-time roles offer days or nights with flexible shift options, and the chance to work across Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Cardiac, Oncology, Neurology and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year).
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred).
• Current RN license in Missouri.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across multiple units in Mercy Float Pool.
• Assess, plan, and document patient care; communicate with teams.
• Uphold patient rights, privacy, and Mercy Service Standards.
• Participate in float pool orientation and ongoing learning.

Skills

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Float Pool Qualifications:
