Job summary

Mercy Hospital Saint Louis is seeking qualified nurses to join the Float Pool on a part-time weekend schedule. Nurses will work across multiple units, gaining broad clinical experience and collaborating with diverse teams.

The role emphasizes flexibility, learning, and growth within Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Applicants should be licensed RNs in Missouri with 1 year of acute care experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri; BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care following the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Practice within established nursing guidelines and Mercy Service Standards.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Float Pool Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year)
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
