Job summary

Cass Health in Atlantic, IA is seeking an LPN for a Specialty Clinic to deliver compassionate nursing care. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, support operations, and educate patients throughout treatment.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, reviewing medical information, administering treatments, and documenting in the EMR. A current LPN license and BLS are required; ADN or RN with ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN license; BLS certification within six months of hire.
• RN license and ACLS are a plus.
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychological, social, and environmental needs.
• Gather and review patient histories, lab results, and diagnostic information for provider review.
• Coordinate and deliver nursing care per physician orders and scope of practice.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered.
• Collaborate with scheduling staff to manage specialty clinic appointments and patient flow.
• Adapt to changes in patient volume and clinic needs while maintaining quality care.
• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and the care team to support patient-centered care.
• Provide education on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Foster a professional, collaborative work environment with respectful communication.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
