The ideal candidate is a new RN graduate or holds a valid RN license in Arkansas, with a focus on patient care and teamwork. Day shifts are offered with rotational call and authorized 80 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Healthcare CPR certification required; training in ACLS, PALS, NALS provided.
• Ability to meet standard of care in surgical settings.

Overview

The Circulating Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of their training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. This role supports the operating room team and operates in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the state of Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures outside the sterile field, ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
• Administer medications and implement and maintain surgical counts.
• Prep for operations/procedures, document surgery/procedure, monitor perioperative staff, instruments, equipment, and deliver surgical specimens.

Qualifications

• A new RN graduate from an accredited nursing program or Registered Nurse with an unencumbered license in good standing to practice in the state of Arkansas. BSN preferred.
• Healthcare CPR required; some areas may require ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS – training is provided.
• Specialty units require and will provide specific specialty education.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to meet standard of care.
• Practices as a full partner of an interdisciplinary team.

Schedule

Day shift with rotational call. Authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
