The Circulating Nurse at Baptist Health Arkansas is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering perioperative care. You will work with surgeons to ensure patient safety, prepare for procedures, and maintain sterile technique outside the OR while documenting surgeries and coordinating with the perioperative team.
Responsibilities include medication administration, instrument and equipment management, and ensuring accurate surgical counts.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Call and Holidays required
The Circulating Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within thescope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effectiveand efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This isdone in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Actof the state of Arkansas.
The Circulating Nurse assists surgeons and other healthcareprofessionals during surgical procedures. They work outside the operating room’s sterile fieldby ensuring a clean and sterile environment, administration of medications, implementing andmaintaining surgical counts, prepping for operations/procedures, documentation ofsurgery/procedure, monitoring perioperative staff, instruments, and equipment and thedelivery of surgical specimens.

This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi-weekly.
