Christie Clinic's Infusion Center in Bloomington is seeking a part-time RN Specialist to provide professional office-based nursing care for clinic patients from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The role includes administering prescribed medications and IVs for chemotherapy/phlebotomy, assisting providers, documenting patient conditions, and coordinating care with patients and families. CPR and ACLS certifications are required; Illinois RN license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursing.
• Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or CEUs.
• Proficient IV skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatment following nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment and examinations.
• Observe, record and report patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment, and education.
• Respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
• Maintain and update patient medical records.
• Maintain IV supplies, medications, and department supplies.

Christie Clinic's department of Infusion Center in Bloomington on Empire is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) RN Specialist between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.Duties include the provision of professional office based nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.Administer IV’s for Chemotherapy and/or Phlebotomy.Perform related work as directed, by coordinator and as required.Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit.Maintain relevant IV supplies, medications, and office supplies for department effectiveness.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited college/school of nursingEvidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’sProficient IV skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Professional nursing experienceAcute care experienceCERTIFICATE/LICENSE:Possession of an Illinois State Registered Nurse LicenseCPR CertificationACLS certificationTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
