Job summary

Metro Infusion Center (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy at clinic locations in Bloomington, IL and Peoria, IL.

Schedule is 3 days per week (24 hours; 8:30am-5pm), with travel between clinics required. The role offers a casual environment, work-life balance, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license.
• At least two years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion-related practice.
• Infusion experience required.
• Chemo experience preferred but not required.
• Proof of required vaccinations for immunocompromised patients.

Responsibilities

• Place Peripheral Lines (PICC) for new patients and document in EMR.
• Review daily lab results and communicate findings to physicians or patients.
• EPrescribe medications per doctor's orders and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Manage patient calls and schedule visits as needed.
• Review EMR charts to ensure readiness for next day appointments.
• Participate in quality assurance and educational activities.
• Adhere to Standards of Nursing Practice and MIDC policies.

Metro Infusion Center (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a part‑time basis at the clinics located in Bloomington, IL + Peoria, IL.

Schedule

3 Days/week (24 hours; 8:30am-5pm); flexible weekdays.

Locations

Bloomington, IL + Peoria, IL (will be expected to travel to both clinics throughout the week).

Specific Duties

• Place Peripheral Lines (PICC) for new patients, teach infusion patients how to self‑administer medications, and document in the Medical Record.
• Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information on to physicians and/or patients as needed.
• EPrescribe prescriptions per doctor's order and communicate to pharmacies.
• Receive and return patient and others' telephone calls.
• Review EMR charts for next day's appointments, ordering lab results, consult reports or notes as necessary and document all required fields are within EMR to be eligible for meaningful use.
• Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule patients to come to the office as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility.
• Support professional practice by observing the following: Use knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) Standards of Nursing Practice; 2) JCAHO, state and local laws; 3) MIDC policy.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current IL RN license.
• At least two years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice.
• Infusion experience.
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID‑19).
