Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. You will apply the nursing process, provide leadership, and assist providers in implementing therapeutic regimens while directing other licensed and unlicensed teammates.

The RN delivers holistic care, communicates with patients and families, and participates in performance improvement activities to ensure safe, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• BLS and/or other specialized life support certifications as required by department.
• At least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualize care plans using professional judgment and update progress.
• Coordinate with providers and inter-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure safe and effective patient care and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Mentor and guide junior staff and maintain high standards of patient care.
