Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Wayne UNC Health Care team in a part-time capacity (20 hours per week) at the Wayne MED location. The RN will apply nursing processes, lead care delivery, and coordinate with providers and the care team to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting nursing care, collaborating with staff, mentoring teammates, and ensuring safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Competent in BLS and/or other life support certifications as required by department.
• At least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care delivered to patients in accordance with provider orders, hospital and nursing standards, established policies and procedures, and regulations.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with providers, interdisciplinary teammates, patients and their families.
• Guides the professional growth of others within the department through precepting, role modeling, coaching and/or mentoring.
• Promotes a safe, clean environment and delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
