Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Traverse Point team in Traverse City, Michigan. The RN provides licensed care, administers medications, and coordinates with physicians and CNAs to deliver individualized plans of care for residents.

The role requires active RN licensure in Michigan, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, and there may be opportunities for growth and advancement within the Villa network.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensures assigned work area is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Directs and supervises the day-to-day certified nursing assistant services for assigned unit.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident responses.
• Counts controlled drugs with another nurse and reports discrepancies.
• Admits, transfers and discharges residents to meet individual needs.
