Villa Traverse Point in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager RN to lead day-to-day nursing care, coordinate staff, and ensure quality resident care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

This role emphasizes supervision, collaboration with admin and therapy teams, adherence to nursing standards, accurate documentation, and readiness to support residents with compassionate leadership in a growing skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the nursing staff, scheduling breaks, reassignment, and writes performance reviews.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department for care planning.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes rounds to review resident conditions and staff performance.
• Gives and receives nursing reports at shift changes.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of care areas.
• Assists in plans of action to correct deficiencies and documents data.
• Performs administrative duties such as forms, reports, and charting.
• Interprets restorative care policies to personnel, residents, and families.
• Provides direct nursing care as needed and documents resident response.
• Communicates admissions details and room assignments for new residents.
