Description:We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a position in the ICU.The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts during the night.The average patient ratio is 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends.Call is required, and floating to other units may be necessary.Candidates must have experience with arterial line management and care of ventilated patients.This role includes management of central lines and continuous IV sedation.Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is required.The ideal candidate should have experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment.Daily patient diagnoses may include acute respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-cardiac arrest care.The ICU typically operates at a 1:1 or 2:1 caregiver-to-patient ratio, with adjustments based on patient acuity.The stepdown unit operates at a 3:1 ratio.Candidates must be willing to communicate any planned time off prior to their start date.References are required for submission.Return staff must be away for two years before reapplying as travelers.Modules are to be completed prior to start and annually, varying by specialty.
