Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a registered nurse to join the Short Stay Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients under varying conditions and coordinate with the care team.

This role offers competitive pay, a weekend/holiday shift premium structure, and opportunities to respond to emergencies in a fast-paced setting. WA RN license and BLS are required; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS:

Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes

On Call Shifts: No

Shift Differentials:

• Evening - $3.00/hour
• Night - $5.00/hour
• Weekend - $4.50/hour

Premiums:

• Standby - $4.00/hour
• Charge - $3.25/hour
• Float - $2.50/hour
• Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
• Certification - $2.00/hour
• Preceptor- $2.00/hour
• San Exam- $500.00

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the OMC Short Stay Unit. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing. Sees patients under a variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. May handle emergency or crisis situations.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required.

EXPERIENCE

• One year experience in a hospital setting, preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

• Current Washington State RN license, required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), required.
