Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking an RN Specialty Coordinator to oversee patient care coordination and drive quality improvement, efficiency, and cost-reduction efforts. Working under close supervision, you will help develop, evaluate, and support patient care plans while aligning resources with departmental needs.

This role also organizing orientation and education, mentoring staff, and shaping daily staffing to improve throughput and clinical development across the department.

Qualifications

• 2 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
• Licensed RN in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates resources and technical support to care for patients.
• Monitors quality improvement initiatives and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Evaluates patient care and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Reviews department performance and provides feedback and mentoring.
• Organizes orientation, education and clinical development activities.
• Develops schedules and staffing for efficient patient throughput.
