RN Shift Supervisor - Weekend rotation

To plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department on weekends, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and as directed by the Director of Nursing, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing, meeting all licensure requirements.
• Previous experience in healthcare settings with responsibility roles.
• Knowledge of nursing standards of care and medical practices.
• Effective communication skills and tactful dealing with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and agencies.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Computer literacy and experience with electronic documentation.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing programs.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident activities.
• Implement corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Complete medical reports, evaluations, and charts.
• Supervise resident care, conduct compliance rounds, and document findings.
• Manage admissions, ensure rooms are ready, and facilitate new resident integration.
• Supervise nursing staff and assist in personnel evaluations.
• Ensure staffing schedules, including vacations and call-ins, are maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
