Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Shift Supervisor to lead a dedicated nursing team and uphold the highest standards of care on a busy shift.

The ideal candidate holds an active Maryland RN license, a BSN preferred, CPR certification, and 1–3 years of managerial experience in geriatric care. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
• Current CPR license is required.
• Experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel on shift and oversee nursing-related functions.
• Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care.
• Work with adult geriatric population and serve as role model for safe, effective care.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.
• Interface with other departments to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Pursue opportunities for growth and expanded responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include supervision of all nursing personnel and nursing related functions on a specific shift
• Duties involve assessing staffing and resident needs and directing care
• Works predominately with an adult geriatric population
• Serves as role model for staff through provision of safe, effective and efficient nursing care. Supervises clinical aspects of nursing.
• Manages day to day operations of Nursing Department
• Interfaces with others to insure efficient unit operations.
• Seeks opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
• Must possess a current CPR license
