Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Shift Supervisor to lead a dedicated nursing team and influence care quality for residents in our Baltimore-area communities. You will supervise nursing staff on a shift, assess resident needs, and direct care while modeling clinical excellence in an adult geriatric population.

The role emphasizes day-to-day nursing department operations, collaboration with other disciplines, and ongoing professional growth to expand responsibilities and competencies.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility.
• Must possess a current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing-related functions on a shift.
• Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care.
• Work primarily with an adult geriatric population.
• Serve as a role model for staff through safe, effective, and efficient nursing care; supervise clinical aspects.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.
• Interface with others to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Seek opportunities for growth and expanded responsibilities to maintain clinical competency.
